General

Seeds of Destruction Shaman Armor and Aquisition

Much like SOF, SOD introduced four upgradable tiers of armors from group content, and four from raid content.

  • -essences: these have three-word names.
    • The first word describes which armor slot item they will work with:
      • Distorted: Arms and Legs
      • Fractured: Wrist and Hands
      • Phased: Chest
      • Warped: Head and Feet
    • The second word, Coeval, Eternal, Medial, Primeval or Seminal, describes what tier of content they come from (see below)
    • The third word, Incandessence or Luminessence, determines what the combine will produce (see below)


  • Focuses: For the last couple of expansions, something wonderful has happened to Wrist item focuses; you can change them. Purchase a Silenced Tinea Deviation Chamber from Zebuxoruk in The Void to cycle your wrist item through the options.

Raid Gear

Tier 1 Set: Eon Linked Chain Armor from Oceangreen.

Eon Linked Armor is dropped archetype items (plate/chain/leather/cloth) from Field of Scale raids.

Tier 2 Set: none, despite the moronic naming convention adopted by the general playerbase.

Tier 3 Sets: Concordant and Discordant Fategaze Armor from Field of Scale.

Concordant or Discordant Fategaze Armor is made by combining:

  • A dropped Primeval -essence from Earth and Korafax raids and
  • A purchased slot-specific Tinea in
  • A purchased Polymorphic Cocoon.

Specifically:

  • Concordant Fategaze Armor is made by using a Primeval Luminessence.
  • Discordant Fategaze Armor is made by using a Primeval Incandessence.

Tier 4 Sets: Balanced, Chaotic and Vested Fategaze Armor from Earth and Korafax.

Balanced, Chaotic or Vested Fategaze Armor is made by combining:

  • A Raid Tier 3 Armor item and
  • A dropped Coeval -essence from Tower of Discord raids in
  • A purchased Temporal Molting Cell.

Specifically:

  • Balanced Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
    • A Concordant armor piece with a Coeval Incandessence; or
    • A Discordant armor piece with a Coeval Luminessence.
  • Chaotic Fategaze Armor is made by combining a Discordant armor piece with a Coeval Incandessence.
  • Vested Fategaze Armor is made by combining a Concordant armor piece with a Coeval Luminessence.

Tier 5 Sets: Inflicted, Ordained, Tainted and Tarnished Fategaze Armor from Tower of Discord.

  • Inflicted, Ordained, Tainted or Tarnished Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
  • A Raid Tier 4 Armor item and
  • An Eternal -essence in
  • A purchased Temporal Molting Cell.

Specifically:

  • Inflicted Fategaze Armor is made by combining a Chaotic armor piece with an Eternal Incandessence.
  • Ordained Fategaze Armor is made by combining a Vested armor piece with an Eternal Luminessence.
  • Tainted Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
    • A Balanced armor piece with an Eternal Incandessence; or
    • A Chaotic armor piece with an Eternal Luminessence.
  • Tarnished Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
    • A Vested armor piece with an Eternal Incandessence; or
    • A Balanced armor piece with an Eternal Luminessence.

Tier 1 Set: Archaic Chain Armor from Oceangreen.

Archaic Chain Armor consists of archetype items (plate/chain/leather/cloth) which can be obtained in two different ways:

  • Dropped as follows:
    • Chest from Vileak the Fang in Old Blackburrow
    • Legs from Snake Handler Graxos in Old Blackburrow
    • Head from Vileplume in Oceangreen Village
    • Arms from High Priest of Bertoxxulous in Temple of Bertoxxulous
    • Wrist from Bear Denmother in Oceangreen Hills
    • Hands from Gray Wolf Stalker in Oceangreen Hills
    • Feet from The Blight Wisp in Oceangreen Village

Tier 2 is a term used for non-visible armor from Bloody Kithicor.

Tier 3 Sets: Concordant and Discordant Willsear Armor from Field of Scale.

Concordant or Discordant Willsear Armor is made by combining:

  • A dropped Seminal -essence from EField of Scale, Kaesora Library, and Kaesora Hatchery and
  • A purchased slot-specific Tinea in
  • A purchased Polymorphic Cocoon.

Specifically:

  • Concordant Willsear Armor is made by using a Seminal Luminessence.
  • Discordant Willsear Armor is made by using a Seminal Incandessence.

Tier 4 Sets: Balanced, Chaotic and Vested Willsear Armor from Earth.

Balanced, Chaotic or Vested Willsear Armor can be made in two ways:

  • First, by combining:
    • A Group Tier 3 Armor item and
    • A dropped Medial -essence from Toskirakk, the Korascian Warrens, and Rathe Council Chambers in
    • A purchased Temporal Molting Cell.
  • Second, by combining:
    • A SOF Dedicated Chromalinked Armor item and
    • A dropped Medial -essence from Toskirakk, the Korascian Warrens, and Rathe Council Chambers in
    • A purchased ' Prismatic -nescent Mutation Nexus

Specifically:

  • Balanced Willsear Armor is made by combining:
    • A Concordant armor piece with a Medial Incandessence; or
    • A Discordant armor piece with a Medial Luminessence; or
    • A Chromalinked armor piece with a Medial Luminessence in a Prismatic Fluorescent Mutation Nexus; or
    • A Chromalinked armor piece with a Medial Incandessence in a Prismatic Fluorescent Mutation Nexus.
  • Chaotic Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
    • A Discordant armor piece with a Medial Incandessence; or
    • A Chromalinked armor piece with a Medial Luminessence in a Prismatic Luminescent Mutation Nexus.
  • Vested Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
    • A Concordant armor piece with a Medial Luminessence; or
    • A Chromalinked armor piece ith a Medial Incandessence in a Prismatic Liminescent Mutation Nexus.

Tier 5 Sets: Inflicted, Ordained, Tainted and Tarnished Willsear Armor from Kuua and Discord.

  • Inflicted, Ordained, Tainted or Tarnished Willsear Armor is made by combining:
  • A Group Tier 4 Armor item and
  • An Eternal -essence in
  • A purchased Temporal Molting Cell.

Specifically:

  • Inflicted Willsear Armor is made by combining a Chaotic armor piece with an Eternal Incandessence.
  • Ordained Willsear Armor is made by combining a Vested armor piece with an Eternal Luminessence.
  • Tainted Willsear Armor is made by combining:
    • A Balanced armor piece with an Eternal Incandessence; or
    • A Chaotic armor piece with an Eternal Luminessence.
  • Tarnished Fategaze Armor is made by combining:
    • A Vested armor piece with an Eternal Incandessence; or
    • A Balanced armor piece with an Eternal Luminessence.
