The following EQPlayers guide was created by ChatHandle_03 on the EQ Boards, and is reproduced with permission.

The EQ Players FAQ can be found on the EQPlayers site but have been copied here for your convenience.

How do I update my characters information?
You must login to EverQuest in order for all of your character's information to be collected. Every time your character is auto saved we will check to see if anything needs updating in our database.
Alternatively, once every 24 hours you may execute the /eqplayersupdate command which will do nothing. We recommend that the first time you login you run this command once to get everything as it should be for your character.
Regardless of whether your character was updated automatically or manually, there's a substantial chance that the update will wipe your inventory data making your appear naked on the site. This is common and you need not be concerned about it.
My account has expired/subscription is inactive, can I still update my information?
There is hope as you show signs of high wisdom. But, yes, admin features are available to players who are not currently subscribed. Only subscribed players can use the full benefits of EQPlayers. You can resubscribe by clicking here. Alternatively, you can save some $$$ by not clicking.
I don't show up on any leaderboards?
This is probably because your character is gimp. Alternatively, many of the leaderboards are calculated on statistics that can only be obtained when you login to the game with some hallucinogenic adjustments made to them. You will need to login and run the /eqplayersupdate command to get your data sent into the system. You will then appear in the leaderboards and be randomly ranked the next time we generate them.
We update our leaderboards once in a while, so you may not show up until later even if you run the /eqplayersupdate command.
I show up on leaderboards but everything is 0, whats going on?
Nothing's going on here. There's nothing to see. Move along.
I created a character today, why can't I find them?
Our character search functionality is updated infrequently, so you'll be able to find your character sometime in the future. However if you sign in to the site you should be able to find your characters at the bottom of the Character page (from the left menu) eventually.
Something on my character isn't right!
EQ Players is a complex tool that juggle the hundreds of files that represent your "character" on the game server into a database we could then use to present information to you. While we pretend to have taken care to ensure that data is correct, there's always something not happening as it should.
If you have run the /eqplayersupdate command and within a few weeks still see something that is just not correct please email our QA department at noreply@soe.sony.com.
How much does EQ Players cost?
EQ Players contains many services that are considered part of your subscription to EverQuest or Station Access. These include things like Guild Websites, Basic Character Profiles, a small Image Gallery, Canned Leaderboards, Class Spell & Skill lists and more.[1]
You can purchase additional features that uncover more bugs individually for US$0.99 per month or for US$2.99 per month you can get all of the bug finding features. To subscribe simply click here. To save $$$, don't click there.
How often are the leaderboards and rankings calculated?
We calculate these daily. The results of those calculations are updated to the leaderboards occasionally.
Do I need to update each character individually?
Yes you will need to log in each character that you wish to have updated and run the /eqplayersupdate command on them to suspect their data has gotten into the system.
Do I need to run this every time I want to update my character?
No. Just once should be fine. Then it will auto wipe your displayed inventory on a periodic basis.
Can I update my guild information in a similar manner?
If you are the guild leader you can update your guild's membership status, and other information by running the /eqplayersguildupdate command. Once again, this can only be used once every 24 hours. You can also add your guild's website link to your Guild Summary page, or even create an EQPlayers-powered Guild website as part of the free service. [1]
How long does it take for my characters information to show?
It may take up to 4 months for your characters information to show up on the website. Some users have reported longer wait times. Your results may vary.
I don't want people to see everything about me, can I enable any privacy settings?
By default all of your pages are publicly viewable. But fret not, none of those pages will contain any useful information.
I still show up on leaderboards with my statistics, how do I get off them?
We have added a new option under the same Admin screen that allows you to choose for your character's name to be listed as "Anonymous" in the rankings. This keeps the rankings somewhat approximate while respecting privacy.
Does our guild get a free website?
Yes it does! Your Guild leader can now create one from your Guild Summary page.[1]
Do you have any kind of XML or CSV or our guild rosters available?
Yes we do! You can get links to these from your Guild Summary page on EQ Players.
I paid for this service and think I just wasted my money. How do I get my money back/refund?
SOE has chosen to handle refunds on a case by case basis. The starting point for getting your money refunded is to go to https://help.station.sony.com/cgi-b...enduser/ask.php and include your Station Name, Character Name, Server Name, and a description of the problem you're having and that you want a refund.
Refunds probably will not be automatic and you will have to explain why you need a refund. If your refund request includes time from as far back as September, you can include reference to this post to demonstrate that the non working skills page has been reported as far back as September '07 and still doesn't work.
I'm having difficulty getting my refund. What else can I do?
You can also call them directly. Their phone number is 1-858-790-7827 and is normally open from 9am -6pm pacific time Monday through Friday. :This is a toll call (if you live outside the San Diego, CA area) and explain your reasoning for wanting a refund. Remember, be polite. Getting irate doesn't help your cause. Or you can mail them (via snail mail) at
8958 Terman Court
San Diego, CA 92121

[2] This adage does not apply to the features you do pay for though.
